Hello - I am working on a solution that needs to have Vmware player installed and I have to install OS as VMs in that VMware player. But I am unable to do so, getting error "Vmware and hyper v cannot run together, disable hyper V role". The Azure VM isnt running any hyper V role.
I tried the online solutions such as disabling hyperv on boot, disabling credential guard, etc. But nothing works. Please help with this.
"Vmware and hyper v cannot run together, disable hyper V role" is a misleading error message here like you found that you ran no Hyper-V role (but that's understandable if displayed by VMware player installer).
The actual error is that Azure VMs are already guests upon Hyper-V hosts, so if you want to run another hypervisor inside the guest OS, that nested virtualization has more restrictions and only Hyper-V on Hyper-V is currently supported, as documented in the article below.

Hello - The answers are fine, but what is the alternate way. I am learning VMware as a separate topic and I want to demonstrate the Vmware capability along with Azure Migration solution to the candidates during my training sessions.
May need to use an on-premise pc for that part of the training.
