Can we use user defined routes to route the traffic between two virtual networks which are not peered.

You can specify the following next hop types when creating a user-defined route:

Virtual appliance

Virtual network gateway

None

Virtual network (Specify when you want to override the default routing within a virtual network Example)

Internet

Hi, but my query was what if they are not peered. for example, I have vnet1 with CIDR 10.10.0.0/16 and vnet2 with 192.167.0.0/16. and these are not peered.

Now were the below cases possible to implement?

CASE-1:-

SOURCE:-10.10.13.22(VM)

NEXT-HOP:-192.167.67.92(VM WITH IP FORWARDING ENABLED)

DESTINATION:-10.10.13.32(VM).

And VNETS(vnet1 and vnet2) are not peered and dont have NAT between them.

CASE-2:-

SOURCE:-10.10.13.22(VM)

NEXT-HOP:-192.167.67.92(VM WITH IP FORWARDING ENABLED)

DESTINATION:-192.167.13.32(VM).

Unfortunately It is not possible to implement CASE-1 and CASE-2 as
VM 10.10.13.22 does not know how to get to IP address 192.167.67.92

Peering between VNETS is required

If case 1 is not possible, How does a pod(ex.POD CIDR:-10.10.0.0/16 and Node-1 Ip:-192.169.0.8 ) in kubernetes worker node-1 ,be able to reach other worker node-2(192.169.0.9) and communicate with the pod in the node-2?

AKS operates in different way. A layer of networking is abstracted from the end user
