Why do notifications in notifications center disappear when program terminates (Windows 11)

Hi,

I hava a .exe file that I run to backup some profile information on Windows. When the program has finished it writes a notification to the screen telling me if there was an error during the backup process. This notification is displayed and then stored in the notification center. However, when the program terminates all the associated notifications disappear from the notification center.

This is annoying if I leave my machine while running the exe file, because when I come back the notifications are not there so I do not know if the program backed up all my files or not.

Is there any way I can keep the notifications in the notification center after my program has termminated?
