Hi,

We are considering using the Custom security attributes of the Microsoft Identity Platform to derive an Attribute-based access control system.

I was wondering whether it's possible to receive the custom attributes as part of the JWT token; so that the authentication token itself would lead to authorization.

Not yet, afaik. But others have asked for similar functionality, and there's already an open item over at the Feedback portal. Go vote it up!
