I am trying to explore the possibility of a simple use case using Azure Log Analytics. All that I need to do is have Azure monitor the error logs in a local folder (Say E:\Errorlogs*.csv) and display run time analytical dashboards. While I am able to create a custom log, I get no results when I query. As described here [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/agents/data-sources-custom-logs#validate-that-the-custom-logs-are-being-collected-1

Appreciate any direction and help on this. Have bee struggling for 2 days to get this going. Note: Splunk was far more easier

    Hi Saurabh,

I assume you've installed the Log Analytics agent on your windows server.

The next step is to configure a Custom Log under the settings section.

If you're unsure where your data is in log analytics a simple query is: "search *" - that will search all tables.

    Hope that helps!
