So I have a Windows HP Pavilion 2000 laptop it’s been broken for years since like 2015 but I’m trying to connect it too a monitor but it’s not connecting. And the VGA cord works because I use it for my PC( even tho it’s slow and old) And it worked once when I used on my monitor but hasn’t worked again so I was wondering if there is anybody that can help

    1. Make sure you have the latest video driver installed.
    2. Depending on the Windows version, check the output mode - right click on desktop->Display Settings, You should see an arrangement of the display and can check for identity. Go do to Multimonitor displays - select either Duplicate or Extended.

Just to be sure, this is Windows 7, correct?
