Expired blob in Azure Datalake don't show in monitor logs

Using Azure Data Lake gen2.

If I call "Set blob expiry", after the blob is deleted, there is no entry in the monitoring log of this action. There's only an entry for setting the expiry, not the actual deletion.

Is this expected?

    Hello @Mathieu Longtin,

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Yes, it is expected that there would be an entry in the monitoring log for setting the blob expiry but not for the actual deletion of the blob.

The blob expiry is a feature that allows you to specify a certain date and time for a blob to be automatically deleted by the system. The deletion would occur automatically based on the expiry date and time, and there would typically not be a separate entry in the monitoring log for the actual deletion event.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
