Hi,

i have a tenant let’s say aaaaa.onmicrosoft.com

that can receive mail for 3 different domain:

aaaaa.com

bbbbb.com

ccccc.com

i noticed that when an external sender send a delivery request , the delivery request is automatically sent by a sender with tenant address i.e. @aaaaa.onmicrosoft.com no matter if original mail is sent to tomain aaaaa.com, bbbbb.com or ccccc.com.

the same if there is a mail group, that cannot accept extrrnal email, the dnr report is sent from postmaster@aaaaa.onmicrosoft.com.

is it possitble that these dsn and ndr report have as sender the same domain of of the recipient receiving the mail ?

for example if i send a mail with delivery request to xxxx@bbbbb.com the dsn reply is sent by yyyyyyyyy@bbbbb.com instead of yyyyyyyyy@aaaaa.onmicrosoft.com

Best regards and thanks in advance

     Hi @Fiammenghi Fabrizio ,

By default, the value of the external postmaster address setting is blank. This default value sets the external postmaster address to the value postmaster@<Default accepted domain> for your organization.

You can refer to this link to modify the external postmaster address :

Configure the external postmaster address in Exchange Online | Microsoft Learn

However, there is no built-in feature for setting up postmaster for multiple different accept domains.

Here is a similar thread for you reference :https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/728499/setting-several-postmaster-adresses-for-each-indiv
