sql server management studio infected by Ransom malware

Greeting of the day

Any here who can help me or guide me to recover the infected file , my server is attacked by ransom malware and all database file are converted in .mallox extension , i want to recover the data from infected file.

    If you have a backup of the database, use that backup. Else, I'm afraid that your databases are lost. Just don't pay the ransom.

    By the way, SQL Server Management Studio has no relation to the databases as such. SSMS is just a tool you use to talk to SQL Server.

    Hi sunny shah,

    As Erland said, restoring backups is always the best practice to recover faulty files. Alternatively, you can download some trusted software to remove ransomware and related malware from your computer. Since I haven't used one, I wouldn't recommend it. INTEGO seems to be a trustworthy software. You can do some research before using it.
