SCCM 2211; Updates not deployed

We deployed updates during the week last week with no issue, and on Friday updated SCCM to 2211. Over the weekend software updates were supposed to go to our servers and none went out. The deployment packages have the right day/time and boundary groups were unchanged. It was a 100% failure across all server platforms (Server 2016, 2019 and 2022) and across all boundary groups.

In each case we see that the status on the deployment for each system "Unknown". It does show that health checks passed and in the details of the system we see recent communication of within a few hours.

Is anyone aware of issues with deploying software updates and SCCM 2211?

    Hi @Daniel Kaliel,

Thanks for your feedback and sharing. We're glad that the question is fixed now. Here's a short summary for the problem, we believe this will help other users to search for useful information more quickly. It's appreciated that you could click "Accept Answer" to the reply. If there's anything else we can help in the future, feel free to post in our Q&A to discuss together.

    Problem/Symptom:
Cannot deploy the software update to the server after the SCCM upgrade to version 2211.

    Solution/Workaround:

Deleted all the old deployments and created new ones for each software update group. After that, the update can be deployed with correct information and updates being sent out as servers check in.

Thanks again for your time! Have a nice day!

    Best regards,
    Cherry

I deleted all the deployments and created new ones for each software update group and now we are starting to see deployments update with correct information and updates being sent out as servers check in.

    Hi @Daniel Kaliel

1, Unknown indicates that the client system did not complete the software update scan, or the site server did not receive the software update scan status from the client.

Besides, we are also needed to confirm that if the client has installed the update. To narrow down the problem, please help check following logs in the client. Please upload the full logs for our reference if there are any useful information.

    • PolicyAgent.log
    • updatesdeployment.log
    • wuahandler.log

We can find the update package in these logs based on Deployment Unique ID. For example:
