Why are Mac clients are much slower to download from an Azure File Sync EndPoint Server?

Hi All,

We're using Azure File Shares with File Sync to Windows file servers Endpoints and caching enabled.

For some reason Mac client machines are much slower getting files that aren't cached from the file shares than Windows ones are.

Same network connections, same user permissions, but for some reason a Windows client will get a non-cached file at approaching the maximum throughput of the network links between the Azure storage account, the file server, and then on to the client from there, but a Mac client connected to the same local switch will be lucky to get more than 100Kbps. Potentially a thousand times slower.

Normal file share access doesn't have this issue, it's only when the files are not cached and the AFS Storage Sync Agent is in the middle. Any suggestions of where to look?
