Issuing RDS license Server 2016

Hello,

There are users(50) currently connected to the RDS Server but I noticed that RDS User CAL are is not being used. Would like to understand on how users are able to connect simultaneously on RDS Server but RDS User CAL are not being issued?

Details:

  1. RDS Server 2016 (Workgroup Environment)
  2. RDS CAL Per user(activated)
  3. Licensing Mode : Per User
  4. Licensing Server: 127.0.01

Please enlighten me.

    Hi,

    In order for RDS User CALs to be issued properly the RDSH server must be joined to an Active Directory domain. This allows the RD Licensing server to update the AD user object.
