HI @Nick Ryan,
The VS2019 SSIS extension v.4.3 is an experimental version.
I would suggest updating it up to v.4.4 which is a latest GA version.

Various tags pop-up, seemingly at random, when I'm editing an SSIS package. They often stay there for quite a while always at the front of the screen as I move the VS window around. If I select another app, they disappear.
In the case of this screenshot, I'd only just opened the package and the mouse cursor was nowhere near any script task. Another pop-up that seems to persist is Dataflow components. Sometimes I'll have a collection of them floating around on various parts of my screen.
I've only noticed this over the past month or so which suggests it has something to do with an update.
My laptop is using Windows 10 and the current version of the SSIS extension is 4.3.

Hi @Nick Ryan,
Please try to update the SSIS to v4.4 via extension in VS and repair VS to see if it is helpful.
If the issue still occurs, please report the issue to product team from VS as shown below.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem in VS2022 v17.6.1
Same here.
I suspect it's something to do with themes.
I installed and loaded a SSIS solution in another PC (having roaming VS settings active) and exacly the same situation came up on the other machine.
I found this odd, because this error seems to be very uncommon, and thus I suspected it was something to do with my machine/instalation.
It's only a gut feeling, but either way, opted to share my experience (even if the issue persists)
