I would like when using InPrivate mode for Microsoft Edge, history not to be shown

Hello,

I am using Microsoft Edge and I would like when using it InPrivate mode, when I type something in the search bar, not to get any suggestion from my history. For example, when I type learn, I get suggestions from learn.microsoft.com documentation:

User's image

I would like none of that to be shown, I would like to behave like it would've been just installed without any history.

But I don't want to remove the history, I still need that when working with Normal mode.

Is it possible to set InPrivate browsing not to show anything from my history when starting to search for something without deleting the history?

If not, is there any workaround, like installing a second instance of Microsoft Edge to use it on this purpose?

Thank you!

    Hi @Andrei Barbu ,

If you do not need the search suggestions based on your browsing history even when you're in Normal mode, you can simply turn off this feature at

Settings --> Privacy, search, and services --> Services --> Address bar and search --> Show me suggestions from history, favorites and other data on this device using my typed characters.

But if you need this feature in Normal mode, it is getting tricky because this setting applies to both Normal mode and InPrivate mode, which means we do not have a separate setting for InPrivate mode.

There's one possible workaround, which is to create a new profile and you can decide to only use this profile for InPrivate mode only. In this case, no search suggestion is shown.
