From the information you provided, it can be that the device is still be managed by the previous organization. To fix the issue, please try the following suggestions:
1, Check if the company portal is on the device. If yes, go to company portal, Devices, find the device and choose to delete it.
2, If the device is iOS device, go to iPhone settings > General > VPN & Device Management > delete the management profile with the account.
3, Reinstall Teams app.
However, if the issue persists, please collect the following information to us to clarify:
1, Which platform is affected, Android, iOS or Windows?
2, What is the detailed error message we get? Please get a screen shot of it.
