Dear Community,

We have a user with office 2016. He has two office accounts configured on his Office apps. He also has OneDrive configured with both accounts.

Two accounts that he has:

  1. [Imran.kazmi@crXXXX.com.pk]  (This is his main account, he also logs into his laptop with his domain account (imran.kazmi) which is connected with the same email , his domain Id and this account is also logged into office apps)

[2.sustaianiality@crXXXX.com.pk] (This account is only logged into office apps)

  • Everything was fine until he started having issue with uploading files on OneDrive through sustainability account.

His file won’t sync and would give permission issue and when I tried signing user in to the office app e.g. excel or word through  sustainability account it would give error “Sorry another account from your organization is already signed-in to this Computer”

The steps that I tried to resolve the issue were(but it did not resolve the Issue):

  1. Signing out & Signing Back in to Office 2016 apps with Imran Kazmi Account.
  2. Trying to switch to sustainability Account through Office apps
  3. Disabling Anti-Virus on affected Machine.

4.Disconnecting Account from Settings-> Accounts-> Office/School Account and then restarting and checking.

5 Running Windows Updates and Reboot 2. Running SARA Tool & troubleshoot

Please suggest a solution.

    Hi @Seema Kanwal Gurmani

Here is an article ""UPLOAD BLOCKED" error when you save OneDrive-synced files in Microsoft 365 apps", please check whether it is helpful.

This issue occurs if you sign in to Office apps by using an account that doesn't have permission to upload files to OneDrive. Suc as you may use Imran.kazmi@crXXXX.com.pk account to to sync files to OneDrive. However, you sign in to Office apps by using the sustaianiality@crXXXX.com.pk account, and this account doesn't have permission to upload files to OneDrive.

    • Method 1: Use the same account to sign in to the Office apps and OneDrive. If you want to use sustaianiality account, plase just sign in this account in Office 2016, make sure OneDrive desktop client use this account at the same time.
    • Method 2: Remove credentials related to OneDrive and Office 2016
    • Method 3: Unlink and relink OneDrive. Unlink all accounts in OneDrive desktop client.
    • Method 4: Install available Windows updates
