Sharepoint 2010 and Sharepoint Online

I am a self taught SharePoint Administrator for a College and I have moved for 2010 to SharePoint online. There was no problem with migration, it was not much of a migration really - just copying contents, folders and re -assigning user groups. I did use Teams Site, only Communcations site.

After we change the old main page became the new webpage - https://mycollege.sharepoint.com

The old one became an archive webpage (collection) - http://mycollege.sharepoint.com/sites/archive-2023-02-123456789X

Everything was fine and most of the Staff and Faculty were happy, until someone reported broken links from BlackBoard (web-based virtual learning web application). At first I did not understand what they were saying, but then after a little bit going back and forth, I understood why those links were broken (in Blackboard).

Problem:

From the now archived site- under the **http://mycollege.sharepoint.com/sites/archive-2023-02-123456789X**/division/distanceEd/ has document libraries that have files.

They generated a link from the file/s that looked like this:

Now the link is broken, of course because it's archived. It has this- sites/archive-2023-02-123456789X it between .../r/ and /division/...

If you add the above to this making it like this:

So now, I have a hard decision to GO BACK to 2010 SharePoint for all the College just because of this, or find a solution to remedy the broken links! Again, they said it's about 10,000 (I'm not really sure), but I am not versed on Blackboard.

Is there a way for me to redirect those broken link:

Example:

to this:

If anybody can suggest anything at all, please post below. I really don't want to go back to 2010 SharePoint, so does everybody else.

They don't want to change all those generated links in Blackboard because we're in the middle of school semester and there are a lot of them, so I'm told.

Thank you in advance, I really really appreciate it!!
