FSLogix 2210 bug

Hi,
It is regarding FSLogix version 2210.
In case of two of our users have an issue, that when this version FSLogix installed, the logon process takes 20 minutes. After the user finishes his/her work, the log off never finished, and the AVD host must be deallocated, because the session cannot be signed off neither remotely nor from the host itself. It stucked. The user cannot log back anymore.
When I replace the FSLogix with version 2201, the login procedure took only 2 minutes, and the logoff process finished with success.
If you have a right place for bug reporting, please share with me.
Thanks!
Gabor Varga
Hi Gabor Varga , Can you please confirm on the following :
Just to ensure that FSLogix logs have been enabled, can you share what is the user seeing during the login process?
For example, is it a black screen (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/fslogix/troubleshooting-known-issues#black-screen-at-sign-in-or-sihostexe-application-hanging) or something like waiting for FSLogix?
Let me know and I will further investigate. Thanks.
I've spent hours trying to isolate the error. I can now tell exactly what is causing it. We have folder redirection to a network share enabled and the OS is SRV2022.
If you log on with a new user or a existing user it's no problem, but if you move a file to the recycle bin and log off, the next time this problem occurs. The user has exactly 10 minutes a black screen. When logging of, the session will never be logged of. You can't even safely shutdown the server, all is blocked.
If you empty the recycle bin after the black screen, the logoff will still fail. If you kill the process frxsvc.exe before the logoff, the user can log off. Trying users without folder redirection, they have no problem.
In the known issues document you have postet, there is this info: "The black screen occurs when we configure the initial virtualization of the recycle bin." So i can say it's not only in the first initialization phase, you can log in with a user 20 times. when you delete a file to recycle bin, the 21st login will causing the troubles.
"During the sign-in process, the recycle bin isn't empty on the virtual machine and our process attempts to empty it for all users." I try it on a test system, so there are no other users with filled recycle bin. The test user is the only one with one file.
I hope this infos will help to kill the bug. If you need more information, please tell me, i can reprodzue the errer easy.
Regards, Christoph.
Dear @KarishmaTiwari-MSFT ,
Even if it is a major release, it has some bugs definitely, because we had the same issue with at least two users, and after I reverted to version 2201, all these issues gone immediately, and both problematic users could log on to AVD within 3 minutes (2 minutes was to load the GPOs).
So the version 2210 of FSLogix definitely has some bugs.
Thanks!
Gabor Varga
Dear Christoph,
I am happy that not I am the only person who faced this issue. To be honest, I didn't check the recycle bin issue, but as you wrote, most probably it is the reason for the slow login, and the stucked log off problem.
Thanks!
Gabor Varga
Thank you, Gabor and @Christoph for sharing the details. I will share this information with the Product team and share updates with you as I hear back on this bug.
Hi Karishma!
Thanks for your efforts!
But i have now a new Bug, also caused by a new feature, it not funny anymore!
It's the bug with the AppX feature, described here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1142145/fslogix-2210-frxsvc-exe-crashed
To developers: 3 new features and 2 making big trouble. Maybe it's not a good idea to automatically activate new features, that have not been much tested at customers. I made my first installation and don't have primary the idea, that the software is full of bugs. I searched hours and hours for misconfigurations or other stuff, ist very frustrating! 2 of 3 new features caused big troubles!
If you add these features and describe in the changelog, how to activate them, everyone with a running system know afterwards, that this feature is the problem, he can easy disable it, to test if it's the problem.
That would be the much better idea, than enabling it by default!
Enterprise customers don't want to be automatically your beta testers!
Please consider this for your future Updates, it would help us admins a lot! Thanks!
Thanks Christoph, I will relay your feedback to the product team.

Hi Gabor Varga and Christoph , Thanks for sharing your findings. All the detail provided by you on this issue has been shared with the Product team.
They are aware of this issue and confirmed that -
The fix for the recycle bin issue is planned as part of the hotfix 1 patch. In the meantime, we recommend disabling the policy as suggested and keep an eye out for the release.
Mitigation
Disable the RoamRecycleBin setting using the registry or Group Policy.
Resolution
FSLogix 2210 hotfix 1 will have updates to resolve this issue.
I will also post an update here when hotfix is released.
We still face the same issue even with the hotfix 1 applied.
event logs give the same recycle bin error.
