We have Windows 2016 Print server in our Network for taking print outs by our domain users.

Printers is,

HP Color LaserJet M553.

Our Problem is, When the users give multiple number of doc copies printout, the log generated by Win-event shows only one copy.

For example:

When an user gives three copies of his 2 pages Job

In event Logs it should displays as 6 (i.e. 2x3 = 6). It is Ok.

But our event Logs shown as only one copy 2/2 (i.e. 2x1 = 2)

We are using Windows Server 2016 Datacenter . What we have to do to solve this number of copies issue?

    Hi, I suspect you are using an XPS based print driver. If yes, then this was a bug I opened several years back. Can you switch to one of the HP Universal drivers to confirm that addresses this issue? Thanks

    @abdul razzaq

    If the driver is not XPS based, then follow my guidance from 7 years back.

    Basically force the print server to render the print jobs rather than the client system.

    Well, the latest model specific HP drivers are XPS based. Only the Smart HP Universal driver is XPS, I suspect you are not using that one. I'm guessing you already tried multiple applications, not just Office applications.

    Hi, if Windows isn't giving you a copy count, then that's on Windows. I work for a company now that has better reporting when Windows isn't working. I wish Windows could do it all for you, but some times it is not the final solution. Thanks
