Hello,

I am reopening that apparently archive theme (with the same subject) : https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/excel/thread/1b8136b3-bce8-428d-b7a0-3d545f04e8ba/#cb722adb-66d8-4e21-a89c-708c212e944e, because i have a thing to add, which perhaps will help ...

I have the same pb of closing workbooks without releasing "relative vba projects".

And i have noticed that in my environnement (a random notice in my searches !!!) the fact to uncheck "Microsoft DataStreamer for excel" in "Complements COM" in menu Developper in Excel window ... solve the pb.

Which means that this process holds something in memory about workbooks when they are closed .... even, in fact, if we do not really use this module (why was it checked in my case ... i do not know ... !!!)

And immediatly the "vba projects" are released when workbook close ....

Just a remark : in my case : event a new workbook ("a blank" one) had the pb !

So it is not worth to have marcros in your workbook ...

Can some others users test this (if they have again the pb ) ....and say to me if it solves their pb ?

Thanks !
