SMSS 19.0.1 installation - download gets stuck when loading packages

Hello community,

I use SQL Server Express 2022 and tried to install SSMS 19 because with SSMS 18 'edit top 200 rows' does not work.

When trying to install the process 'loading packages' hangs.

One of the last rows in log file is: MainViewModel: SSMSINSTALLROOT not found.

How can I proceed?

Hi @Stefan Franz,

Here are steps you can follow:

Check your system requirements: Make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for SSMS.
Disable any antivirus or firewall software temporarily during the installation process, as they may interfere with the installation process.
Right-click to install as administrator. This will give the installation process the necessary permissions to complete the installation.
