Hi, I am having an issue in Outlook where our VDI image does not do anything when you click on the "Add" link when trying to add an email address to contacts from an email message. This only happens on our VDIs (which all pull from the same image) on internal/corporate addresses. Clicking "add" on the contact window pop-up just does nothing, no feedback or error message. What is even more puzzling is it only has this issue in production, our test VDI environment is working as well. I found a couple of posts from around 5 years ago with this exact issue and of course it was never resolved....I ran an office repair already and that didn't fix it.

    Hi @melissa ,
What's the version of your Outlook?(File > Office Account > About Outlook). Please make sure you have upgraded your Outlook to the latest version.
What's the type of your account? POP, IMAP or Exchange?

Do you mean that the option like below could not work fine?

If so, it is suggested to check that if you can successfully add contact by manually creating New contact like below to see if there is any difference.

Besides, are you using the same email account both in the test VDI environment and production environment? If not, to further confirm your issue, please try to add the same email account to both these environment and check if there is any difference.

As I know, from the perspective of Outlook desktop client, there seems no options or settings will lead to conditions like that.
There could be some add-ins in your Outlook client that cause this issue, so it is suggested to start your Outlook in safe mode (Press Win + R, type “outlook /safe”, press Enter.) and see if the issue continues.
Other programs in windows may also cause issues like this. Please try to perform a clean boot in Windows and run Outlook alone to see if the issue could be resolved.

In addition, as a temporary workaround, you could also achieve this feature via the web mail.
