Defender For Cloud | Log Analytics Agent

Hello Microsoft,

Hopefully you are doing well, I want to know can we install Log analytics agent on on-prem or non-azure resources so that they can report on Defender for Cloud for security monitoring and security.

I have tried to install but it doesn't reflect on defender for cloud, please share the method through which we can integrate it.

Also is there any other way can we monitor the security of non-azure and on-prem systems to Defender for Cloud ?

    Hi,

    You need the Azure Arc connected machine agent. "The Azure Connected Machine agent enables you to manage your Windows and Linux machines hosted outside of Azure on your corporate network or other cloud providers." You then install the Azure Monitor Agent which has superseded the Log Analytics agent. Details are below.
