How to stop domain users formatting domain computers except administrator on winsdows server 2019

Hello

I am an IT administrator at Bamo Company. I am using windows server 2019 Datacenter for the domain controller, and the client most of them windows 10 or 11.

I don't want the users to take the company's laptop and format it outside. is there any solution to disable booting from cd or USB from the domain controller?

in the past, someone brings a computer for formatting when I tried to boot from USB it said the computer is joined to a domain controller. and I couldn't format it ever. I want to do the same

    Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Prevent users from Formatting Laptop.

    If user can get into BIOS and if they can Boot using any Bootable USB or CD they can Format and install any OS.

    You can configure BIOS password and Disable Boot from CD or USB.
