Does it happen to all the users or to a specific user?
Look at the Event Viewer Application Error Logs.

I have several PC in my organization that are experiencing this issue. When a user locks a PC if the user doesn't log back in with 30 seconds the lock screen displays a spinning circle where the password text box was and then the text box disappears completely and the only way to log back in is with a system restart. This issue is a recent issue, and I have uninstalled the latest windows updates, removed wireless/wired keyboards, updates the graphics card drivers and have not had any luck resolving this issue. This issue occurs on laptops and desktops of various models. All Dell hardware. Re-installing windows on all these systems will be a very time intensive undertaking and in addition the issue has already come back on previously wiped systems.

Joshua Shaw 0 Reputation points2023-03-07T18:01:38.78+00:00 This started back in November 2022 for us as well on one pc. A dell optiplex on Win10 21H2. Upgraded it to Win11 and the problem followed me until I chose not to copy over the user's "my documents" folder. Not sure if there is a file in there that goes corrupt, but that fixed that user. This last month we have about 4 pcs doing this now, and they are new win10 21H2 pcs out the box without a copied "my documents" folder to the profiles. I can't upgrade these to Win11, and have tried to recreate the profiles anyways, and disabled fast startup with no luck. I am looking for this solution as well.

The Event Viewer has the same 3 Errors: Event 8193, VSS Event 19, and Event 1023, Perflib. This is very frustrating and causing Loss of Date for my Users if they were working on something and the happens and they have to Restart. Any fixes?
