We are also having this issue with multiple laptops.

We have several models of Lenovo Business Laptops (P, L, and T Series) with webcams that keep randomly disconnecting and become unavailable during Teams calls. Is anyone else having this issue? We've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the webcams including forcefully removing drivers. We've tried firmware updates, windows updates and different drivers as well.

We have tried firmware updates, windows updates, updating Teams, completing a fresh install of Teams, and the suggested registry change related to FrameServer mode. The issue does not seem to happen when using Teams on the Web.

jackofCMBIT 0 Reputation points2023-04-12T19:38:51.08+00:00 We are also having this issue with T and X series laptops. The temporary fix has been to "reset" the built in Windows Camera app - in Settings -> Apps -> Camera -> Advanced Settings -> Reset
Then, in Teams, have the user turn off their camera, leave the meeting, and rejoin. In most cases, this has resolved the issue, for some, the issue has returned after a few days/weeks/hours, depending on the person. Would be great to have a long term fix though!

Patrick Leavy - Virtual FD 1 Reputation point2023-08-18T14:03:52.1633333+00:00 Same issue with a Lenovo E14 gen 3. It only happens with the Team desktop app, not with the browser version.
Everything is updated to latest versions: Teams, BIOS, drivers. Very frustrating.

Do you mean the built-in webcam is not working?
Does this issue also occur on Teams on the web?
If possible please consider creating a service request to contact support via Microsoft 365 admin center>Support>New service request, as to further investigate this issue we may need to collect logs for analysis.

According to their M365 Service Health portal: Current status: Upon further inspection, we've determined that a code change is no longer needed as we’ve collaborated with the third-party partner on a new driver update that includes a fix for this issue. The new driver version 2.3.15.3 is available as a manual download for expedited remediation from the link provided in the More Info section of this communication. We’re integrating this driver update in our next Windows update that is expected to be released in mid-May 2023. Scope of impact: This issue may affect approximately one percent of users who are operating a Lenovo device that’s utilizing the internal camera and using 720p HD resolution in Microsoft Teams meeting. Start time: Thursday, February 16, 2023, 3:00 AM (8:00 AM UTC) Estimated time to resolve: We expect the driver update that includes the fix for this issue (2.3.15.3) to be included in our next Windows update scheduled for release in mid-May 2023. Root cause: A recent external driver update version 2.3.15.2 has caused an increase in restart failures occurring for cameras built-in to Lenovo devices which is resulting in a black preview screen being shown during Microsoft Teams meetings and calls.
