Application Showing Installed When It's Not

Question

I have an application that I have pushed to a group of machines where all the application does is create a .txt file in the root of C:. When this application runs it successfully creates this file and gets flagged as Installed. Once I manually delete this file and run the Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle then I would expect for this application to rerun or have a status of not Installed.............but that's not the case. When the Application Deployment Evaluation cycle runs this application still shows as Installed even though that .txt file at C:\ has been manually deleted.

Please advise........

For my understanding, executing the Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle will prompt ConfigMgr to trigger a re-install of the application.

It's recommended to use configuration item and configuration baseline to detect if a file is existed, choose the setting type File system to create the setting:

Show Application-->Deployment Type-->Detection.

Is there detection for .txt file ONLY?
