Hidden TEAMS chats/meeting records are not visible when they are searched

Hi there,

As I get lot of meetings and chats daily, I took option to hide some of them thinking that I could find it later.
But now, when I am finding for those meeting chats and meeting recordings in TEAMS search, it says it cannot find anything.

Have I lost all of those meeting chats and meeting recordings?
These meetings were recorded by some other attendee in the meeting, so I do not find them in MS STREAMS also.

What is the way for me now? Please advise.

How long do you hide these chats?

Are these meetings organized in your organization? If so, please note that recordings aren’t stored in Microsoft Stream but are instead stored in Azure Media Services (AMS) with a 21-day limit before it's deleted when organizer has no Stream license.

I tested in my client. It can search for the hidden meeting which I hide last year.

You could try to use the Content Search tool in the Security & Compliance Center to quickly find the instant messaging conversations in Microsoft Teams. Thanks for your answer. Looks like I do not have sufficient permission to Content search. As per documentation, I went to "https://protection.office.com/", but I do not see any option for "Search > Content search".

Is it so that I do not have permission for content search?

What else options are available to view my hidden meeting chats and recordings?

Yes, you have no permission to Content Search.
Perhaps, you need to contact the meeting organizer for the meeting chats and recordings.

From Teams client side, it can only find the hidden conversation by search bar. If you remember the meeting organizer or some chat information , it could search the conversation.

Apart from that, I didn't find other good solutions.

I searched with meeting organizer or conversation or subject etc. But no luck. Anyhow, right now I do not see problem as I stopped hiding the chats.

Sure. It is a choice.
Due to lack of permission, we cannot try the content search.
