Account does not exist in tenant when logging into teams

Question

I get this error when trying to log into teams

Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application '1fec8e78-bce4-4aaf-ab1b-5451cc387264' in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Please use a different account.

Any ideas

Hi Graham,

Can you try logging into Teams via Incignito mode or private mode in the browser and see if you get same error? If yes you will need to check with the company/tenant admin that sent you an invite to access the teams.

Also check if you have signed in to another tenant and it has cached the previous tenant information.
