Good Day MarioCE,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, if issue persists even after repair install, you may consider to perform clean install, save all your important files in a external drive to prevent any data lost and proceed with clean installation.

I tried turn off and turn on dark mode and re-install the display drivers (and update them), but doesn't work. If i choose the default light theme, i can see what i type in the search bar. Others home pages in dark mode, works

Maybe this information will help you to find the solution to fix the default home page search bar in dark mode

    Good Day MarioCE,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 11 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

    Reset the Edge

-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.

    -Go to Settings

    -Look for Reset Settings

-Click Restore settings to their default values.

(This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)

    Restart and check.

If issue persists, you can re-install the Edge using this link below.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/d...

Download and install the version (98.0.1108.50)

Restart once installed restart and check.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.
