Do you know if builtin ConfigMgr reports are created after installing the Reporting Services Point role on a PowerBI server?

Hi,

I've read this Microsoft doc. regarding ConfigMgr and Power BI integration:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/servers/manage/powerbi-report-server

But I still have a question for which I didn't find any answer yet.

We have a new ConfigMgr environment for which we did not setup a Reporting Services Point yet, according to the documentation, we can set up the Power BI server and install the role directly.

I am just wondering if the builtin ConfigMgr reports, which are SSRS based, will still be created, or if I only get the possibility to create new Power BI reports from scratch? We would need both features in the new environment.

When you have an existing Reprting Services Point, the documentation describes steps to remove the role and SSRS, but keep the SSRS database that will be set with PowerBI so you can keep the builtin reports (and custom ones, if any), I am not sure if we need to follow these steps if we want to have the bultin ConfigMgr SSRS reports in the new environment.

Tnx for help

Patrick

Yes all the default ssrs reports will get installed on pbrs, after you add it as a reporting point. Personally, I would not move the existing db but upload only the custom reports that you have to pbrs.
