How do patients sign forms?

I am new to Microsoft 365. I am a psychotherapist. My VA created the registration forms in SharePoint, which must be signed with HIPAA compliance. Is there a program within 365 that would facilitate this?

Is it safe to assume that "sign" in this context means to provide a signature and not to protect the document with a digital certificate?

Hello,

For this purpose, Microsoft has an ecosystem between SharePoint and Infopath that would allow to digitally sign the forms or questionnaires.

Configuring Infopath for SharePoint:

That depends on whether this is InfoPath or Microsoft Forms, which is the newer version of it...to my understanding.

Hey Rich, thanks. I am familiar with the hipaajournal.com. Since I don't want to continue paying, unless necessary, for additional services, I was trying to figure out if I could accomplish this with any of the apps within Microsoft 365
