Do you need MDM enrollment to deploy software like TeamViewer to the users via Intune?

Question

I have Azure AD and On-premises synced. Now I am trying to deploy a TeamViewer software from the Intune, but do I need MDM enrollment licenses? I already have 'Microsoft Intune Plan 1 Device' license, do I also required more than this?

I am planning to deploy the software in windows via Intune but I did all the configuration right, and still nothing deployed and I can't figure out why.

please help as much possible, thank you.

Hello TechQ,

I do not believe that Windows Server 2022 has the capability to manage apps via Intune. You can only do this via Windows 10 or Windows 11 devices, iOS, or Android.

2,As @Dillon Silzer mentioned, for Windows platform, Windows server 2022 is not supported in Intune, only Windows 10 and Windows 11 are supported in Intune.

I am not deploying software to windows server, I am deploying them to window 10, but for some reason its not being deployed. I just wanted to know what type of licances needed to deploy to active directory users with a software via intune.

Hi,

Per my experience, Microsoft Intune Plan 1 is user license and is enough to deploy application to users in Intune.

Device license is to manage shared/dedicated devices that aren't affiliated with specific users. If you are using this license, we can't deploy application to users in Intune.
