Azure reservation does not allow VM reservation in US West 2

I have an Azure VM / Disk on US West 2. It is contained under a Pay-As-You-Go subscription.

I am attempting to create a reservation for this VM using the Azure Reservations feature. However, when I try to do so, all VM's under the US West 2 region have an (i) icon that says "There are restrictions on purchasing reservations for this SKU using the selected subscription. If you use this VM size, select the subscription on which you have the usage to purchase the reservation. If you still see this issue then follow steps listed here."

I follow the guide here to setup the reservation which doesn't seem to indicate there is a restriction on the US West 2 region. I also don't get this error when I select US West or US West 3.

    Hi,

Are you saying that when you click All Products tab that ALL of the different VMs (even if you page through all pages) for US West 2 are showing the information icon on the left? Or is it just for the VM instances you currently have deployed in US West 2?

I recommend you open a support request asking for the vm family types you are interested in for US West 2 and see what response you get back. And if you are blocked from purchasing any VM reservations in US West 2 you can ask them why while you are discussing things. There is no charge even if you don't have paid support because it is a service and subscription limits case.

Article below explains the process. Read down some for where it specifically mentions reserved instances:

If the above was helpful please click Accept Answer. If you are having trouble creating the support request please add a comment.

    Thanks.
