Filter Completed Orchestrator Jobs by Parameter - Orch2022

We are in the process of moving from Orchestrator 2012R2 to Orchestrator 2022. We've been finding all sorts of fun challenges along the way, but this latest one is a potential show-stopper for us.

We have a set of runbooks that process batch type work. The jobs query a database on a periodic basis, and based on the values returned, execute specific actions using the data from the database (for the most past, reporting and the like). In Orch2012, we had the ability to query the 'parent' runbook, and list jobs filtered by parameter, essentially giving us the ability to see all the jobs for a specific report name for example. This was just a set of drop-downs in the web console, which allowed you to filter the output.

For the life of us, we cannot find a way to do this in the new Orch 2022 web console. This was extremely useful for tracking the success/failure of specific reports, especially when a client says 'hey, my report from the 15th is missing..can you see if it ran'. As we have over 100 reports being executed in this fashion, not being able to filter these in this manner means we either have to stick with our existing 2012 setup, or come up with a new way of tracking this ourselves. I can look at a specific job and see what the parameters are, but I really don't want to have to search through hundreds of entries to find the one I'm looking for.

I'm really hoping I'm not going to have to essentially code a replacement for functionality that already existed...I'm still fixing half of our runbooks that the new Orchestrator just doesn't seem to like to run reliably...

    Hi,

the Web Services for System Center 2019 Orchestrator are nearly the same as for 2012R2.

    Microsoft recommends (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/orchestrator/release-notes-orch?source=recommendations&view=sc-orch-2022#service-manager-connector-doesnt-work-with-new-web-api):

Service Manager connector doesn't work with new Web API

Description: Service Manager (SM) console doesn't detect Orchestrator 2022 installation because the Connector for the new Web API is yet to be released.

Workaround: Install the Orchestrator 2019 Web features on the computer alongside Orchestrator 2022. Ensure to configure the Orchestrator 2022 database in the 2019 Web features. The SM connector can monitor Orchestrator 2022 with Orchestrator 2019 Web service.

So, I would use the 2019 Web features as well ...

    Regards,
