Teams Android Error - Cannot access Team on phone, but can on Windows

I was invited to my organization's Team via a specific link. I registered for Teams and have no trouble accessing via Google Chrome on a Windows 11 PC.

If I try to access via Chrome on my Android device, it states that the browser is not supported. If I put the browser in Desktop mode, nothing ever loads.

I downloaded the Teams app for Android and in trying to access the same organization that I can access on my computer, I receive the following error, "Sorry, you can't get to this yet. You can't complete this action because you're trying to access protected resources as an external user in this organization. Please contact the admin to allow you to access the protected resources."

This occurred on a fresh installation of the app.

The head of the organization has no idea what this means as I can access everything from my computer, but nothing from the Teams app on Android. Please assist.

Potentially useful information:
In Google Chrome on my desktop, it says "(Guest)" to the right of my name.

Android Error Code: 530004

    Hi @MicrosoftTeamsUser85

Based on your description, this seems to be an issue with the mobile client. The error code is caused by a Conditional Access policy. Here are a few ways to troubleshoot this issue:

    • Did you choose to log in as a guest when you logged in to the Android client?
    • Sign out, clear your Teams sign-in credentials, and then sign back into Teams.
    • Check if it's the latest version of Teams.
    • Clean up the Teams cache. Try signing in with another Android device.
    • If you're unlucky, download the client again. (Android: Compatible with Android phones and tablets.) Note: Support is limited to the last four major versions of Android. For example, when a new, major version of Android is released, the Android requirement is the new version and the three most recent versions that precede it.
