What do the SMTP protocol logs show? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow/connectors/configure-protocol-logging?view=exchserver-2019 Enable on both servers if possible, other enable on the send connector for the sending server More information is required to assist you.

The sending server is GMAIL actually and receiving Server is Exchange Online. The external user (for now we identified two from gmail and can be others as well) sends an email and sometimes we receive it and sometimes we dont. Even though both senders were already a part of an email we initiated and sent.

furthermore, I traced all the emails sent to our users from these GMAIL users and I cant find the emails from those dates...I am trying to understand if there is any other possibility that they have sent and we have somehow rejected it or blocked it or anything else which we cannot trace from the Exchange Message Trace. This is to rule out the possibility that the issue is from our side and then we can inform the senders that it is from your side. I hope it is clear

Hi @ Shahid Kanji, Yes, you can determine whether a message is received, rejected, delayed, or delivered in Exchange Message Tracing. If you do not find anything about this message, you will need to confirm with the sender that the recipient address is correct and that them have received any NDR reports.
