Hi,

I am using Office 365 on Windows 10 and created a signaure with company logo image. I have followed the following steps but it did not work the image is still blury.

  • Click on Insert Picture icon
  • Select company logo (2x) - 268 x 56
  • Right click on the image.
  • Click on Size and reduce height and width to 50%

I have checked files saved in "AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures" and under "Test Image_files" folder i can see 2 png files created. The following html file was added (part code). I did try to change image002.png to 001.png (268x56) but no luck.

</v:shapetype><v:shape id="_x0000_i1026" type="#_x0000_t75" style='width:100.5pt;

height:21pt'>

<v:imagedata src="Test%20Image_files/image001.png" o:title="BCG Logo@2x"/>

</v:shape><![endif]--><![if !vml]><img width=134 height=28

src="Test%20Image_files/image002.png" v:shapes="_x0000_i1026"><![endif]></p>

Any advise will be appreciated.?

    Hi Brvaland,

    It seems the size of your image is quite small. If possible, would you mind finding a larger one? Since the resolution scale of the image would affect the sharpness. You can see the example below, it's 16% 4000 x 2400 (left) and 100% 500 x 334 (right).

    Besides, I tested in Monthly Channel version 1812 build 11126.20196. For your reference, see Office update history

    Regards,

    Marvin

    Hi Marvin

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    I did try on outlook monthly channel version 1811 (Build 110290.20108) and it does not work.

    The image added to signature is 1000 x 290px and reduce it down to 10% but once email is sent on receipient side user gets low resolution image - 107 x 31 px (attached developer tool snapshot)

    I would except image to be original size 1000 x 290 and image resized with width / height attribute specified (107 x 31). This will fix resolution issue of retina display screens.

    I am happy share signature html and files if you want to have a look.

    Thanks

    Bhavesh

    Hi Brvaland,

    Thank you for your sharing. We're glad to hear the issue has been resolved by resizing the image with a specified value of width/height attribute.  I think your method would be more helpful for others who may encounter the same situation. And again, it's highly appreciated for your sharing. Of course, if you encounter any problems when using Outlook, you're most welcome to post your concerns in our community. We're always at your service. Have a nice day!

    Hi Marvin,

    Sorry the issue is not fixed, it does not work on high resolution display (retina).

    Thanks
