have just purchased the SSL Certificate and imported it in to the Web App for a domain using the naked domain as instructed nakeddomain.com this was supposed to include the www.nakeddomain.com in the certificate according to the help and instructions I have imported the certificate in to the app and have bound the new certificate to nakeddomain.com The certificate is not displayed for binding to the www.nakeddomain.com i have tried unbinding the certificate from nakeddomain.com and binding it first to www.nakeddomain.com. The certificate is not displayed for binding I have tried both IP and SNI based binding but cannot get the certificate to bind to www.nakeddomain.com i have several other web apps that have bound to the SSL Certificate purchased for both naked and www

it would appear that when importing the app certificate it is only importing it as nakeddomain.com so i have exported the certificate via powershell and imported the certificate via pfx. this has imported as both the nakeddomain and the www domain. Instructions for exporting are here. https://azure.github.io/AppService/2017/02/24/Creating-a-local-PFX-copy-of-App-Service-Certificate.html then in the certificates menu select "bring your own certificates (.pfx)" and add the downloaded certificate
