I changed my windows password and now when I try to compile my maui project for iOS I get: The specified network password is not correct. MauiDev C:\Program Files\dotnet\packs\Microsoft.iOS.Windows.Sdk\16.2.2054\tools\msbuild\iOS\Xamarin.iOS.HotRestart.targets 20 I have deleted bin and obj folders removed and recreated the provisioning account information. rebooted the development machine and the iPhone. This all worked fine before. It works fine for Windows and Android.

From the error message, you are using Hot restart, and the task is for loading provisioning profile.

I have deleted bin and obj folders removed and recreated the provisioning account information.

I'm not sure how you create an App Store Connect API key and add configure the information. You can check in steps 9-14 according to the above Hot restart document. Besides, you remove the account information, the provisioning profile might still cache in your machine. You can go to project properties window, then go to iOS -> Bundle Signing->select Manual Provisioning , then check if you can select an existing Signing identity and Provisioning profile.

I have the exact same problem , and had it before then i got so desperate that i formatted and reinstalled my whole dev computer however now one day later i have it again :-(

So I am now looking for a solution not involving a format C:\ and starting all over

I feel this is just a giant bug in MAUI

People claim it is a provisioning problem it might be but not one from the user ( developer)

Note that the problem occurs sudenly in certain situations and that it is also not app specific
if you create a brand new app you will have the exact same problem ( been there done that)

if you have this error :

It seems we are in the same boat , I have tried everything generating new certificates etc etc etc
then we discovered that a co-worker did not have this problem even if we copied the project on a USB stick to his dev rig ...

So I took rigorous steps and formatted my whole system and reinstalled it and yes it then worked fine!! , and now I write this message in anger and frustration as it has reapeared and again I only see one working solution ...
Fun fact No it isnt 'provisioning' or something you can do annything about even if you create new certificates ( i Have done this ) the problem stays , while on another system you will NOT have this problem so somewhere in the deep something is still there that shouldnt be there .... after a new provisioning ( if that is the cause ) ... left or right i consider this a MAUI specific Visual Studio bug

You also cant submit this as a bug to the MAUI team ( been there couldnt do it ) as they want you to provide a project with that problem , well the problem is not in the project but in the IDE ( and yes I also tried it with the preview ( 17.6) exact same behavior )

Filing in the right place will get your report directly to the team who can address it. Your report in VS Feedback is tied directly to the Visual Studio bug database, and you can get updates on its progress there. Q&A is not a bug reporting or tracking site, and posts here are not directly associated with the bug database. If the Q&A moderation team files a bug for you it breaks the feedback loop: you can't see any questions or updates from the engineering team, and you can't provide any necessary follow-up information to make sure your specific issue is addressed.

If we could we would , but if I try to report the problem in the IDE I get a server time-out ( this is happening for 3 days already) and the MAUI team only takes problems with a project that shows the problem, however the problem is not IN the project. So now it looks to you guys at MSFT as if there are no problems I guess , yes if you make it impossible to submit the problems then I guess there aren't any. I hope one day my customers will also accept this 😆

I have the same issue, 5 hours trying to fix it with no luck, what I'm planning to do but I don't know how is to delete all API profiles from Visual Studio, because the issue occurs exactly after I import a certificate from MAC to visual

Well I only found one solution and that was a fresh install of my whole system even removing and reinstalling visual studio didn`t help . However do one tiny thing wrong and it is back again I got it back again when I opened directly the csproj file instead of the solution

I have a same issue. :(
I try 2 days fix this but not success. Reinstall computer, delete all certificate, phone reboot, other phone... Try Preview and latest VS2022... Not working...

I solved this issue by removing folder '%LOCALAPPDATA%\Xamarin'.

Close visual studio

Remove %LOCALAPPDATA%\Xamarin

Start Visual Studio

Try to run on iPhone, sign in again,...
