not receiving PIM approval email notifications to the approver

We are testing PIM feature in our test tenant before deploying to PROD. Me and my colleague are the approvers for Azure AD roles assignment using PIM. We tried multiple times for activating the role but we never receive email notification to our email address. Please help us out, what we are missing. Below Microsoft document we followed. We are using trial license provided by Microsoft.

    Hi, Please ensure that both the approver and assignee has a valid license , you can check the below url for different scenarios If the above is useful please click Accept Answer

    In order to get a email notification you need to assign licenses to approvers as well.

    Ensure that your directory has Azure AD Premium P2 licenses for the following categories of users:

    • Users with eligible and/or time-bound assignments to Azure AD or Azure roles managed using PIM
    • Users with eligible and/or time-bound assignments as members or owners of PIM for Groups
    • Users able to approve or reject activation requests in PIM
    • Users assigned to an access review
    • Users who perform access reviews
