Problem with Teams Essentials

Bought an Update to Teams Essentials. I chose my iCloud Email Address as my login to Microsoft which I also use for my 365 Home license. The Microsoft 365 Admin Centerlogin window doesn't allow me to sign up telling me I don't have a company or school account... Teams also no longer displays the calendar meaning I can't invite people to a Teams meeting. Spent hours trying to figure out what to do. Completely lost... Can't even cancel the subscription because I can't login in to the Admin Center.

Upgraded to Teams Essentials to ensure I kept all info associated with Teams Classic (free). Clients started emailing saying they could not get mail through to my email. Spent 8hrs (currently) on the phone to support (very nice guy - unfortunately as lost on how to solve issues as I am). No calendar at first, we then partially resolved this - calendar icon appeared, but no synchronisation with my desktop outlook calendar. I can send email, but inbound email is now going to this ridiculous ‘companyname.onmicrosoft.com’ address which is provided when you sign up (I don’t want it or want to use it). Still no idea how to fix it, 3rd support call coming up. I knew it would present issues, but never imagined it would be as technologically awful as this - forced to upgrade, forced to pay, forced to waste hours of my own business time resolving something that should be so simple. Disastrous.

Its so frustrating that Microsoft forced users to upgrade to paid/tiered service, then once you go through the long, arduous sign-up process (I just assumed it would prompt with something simple like 'upgrade now' and then proceed to payment), but it was like setting up a brand new account. Then, despite upgrading by the deadline - I still lost ALL of my previously-scheduled meetings. I've now spent hours upon hours trying to resolve this (now into my weekend), trying to get this fixed by Monday. It's beyond frustrating. The only reason I even stayed with Teams when they announced the forced upgrade, was because I didn't want to lose all of my previously-scheduled (recurring) meetings. Now, I lost them all anyway, and have had to waste all of this extra, unpaid time - trying to fix this mess. Sorry for the rant, and wish I had something helpful to offer - but I'm commenting in case someone posts a solution. Good luck everyone!

2023-04-15T16:57:34.4966667+00:00 @Yassir Osman I also signed up for my Family 365 account with my personal outlook email address. Now, when I attempt to access my newly-upgraded Teams Essentials service/account, it denies me access - saying that 'you must log in with a school or business account.'
