Add mail address to Microsoft 365

I purchased M365 Business Basic subscription and trying to link my existing work e-mail to it. I added the MX records to my domain, and it is able to verify that I own the domain. However, it can not add my e-mail address. The message I am getting is: We have confirmed that you own <XXX>.com, but we can't add it to your account because the domain is already added to a different Microsoft 365 organization: <XXX>.onmicrosoft.com I can not login to the Admin center using my work address. It says that please confirm the request on Authenticator, but I neither get any request on authenticator nor any codes are seen. No other methods are shown for 2nd authentication.
