I had a 365 subscription about to expire and it was linked to an old account/email address. I just purchased 365 subscription to my new outlook.com email address/account and I have been able to change over my word/excel etc. But I cannot get rid of my old subscription in Outlook. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling too. it still says the Licence belongs to ....."old name".... I'm afraid when it runs out in a month I won't be able to access emails as I can't figure out where to change it. PS. I'm a Mac user. Thanks

To update your Microsoft 365 subscription and associated email address in Outlook on your Mac, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Outlook on your Mac.
    2. In the menu bar at the top, click on "Outlook" and select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
    3. In the Preferences window, click on the "Accounts" tab.
    4. You will see a list of email accounts associated with Outlook. Select your old account/email address that is linked to the expiring subscription.
    5. Click on the "-" button at the bottom to remove the old account from Outlook.
    6. Confirm the removal when prompted.
    7. Now, click on the "+" button at the bottom to add your new Outlook.com email address/account.
    8. Follow the prompts to enter your new email address and password, and set up the account in Outlook.
    9. Once the new account is added, make sure it is set as the default account in Outlook.
    10. Close the Preferences window.

After following these steps, your Outlook on Mac should be using your new Outlook.com email address/account for sending and receiving emails. The license information associated with the old account should no longer affect your access to emails.

If you continue to experience any issues or if the old license information persists, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance. They will be able to help you resolve any licensing-related problems and ensure a smooth transition to your new subscription.

I hope this helps, and I wish you a seamless transition to your new subscription and email address!
