Windows Update on long lost device

Greetings, I have a really particular and detective-like problem in front of me on one of my organizations devices. The root problem is that the device has not had Windows Updates installed since a long time ago. I've had a few others of these kind of devices but that was solved with sending them the latest .exe file of Windows update and installing it locally. This other computer did not seem to buy that. My user managed to launch the file and the update started rolling but then froze at 99% over the weekend. I failed at many different tricks I tried, including trying to install it via Poweshell-module. Does anyone have any idea of how I can try to sort this? UAC prompts also causes issues because the computer works so slowly, so the process freezes after a while when trying to run anything as admin. Thanks alot in advance for any tips or tricks. /ChrisW

The time required to download and install updates depends on connection speed, network settings, and the size of the update. If the installation remains stuck at the same percentage, try checking for updates again or running the Windows Update Troubleshooter .
