Azure Log Analytics Connector over private endpoint

Hi Friends
When I uses the Azure Log Analytics Connector to send data to a log analytics workspace using a standard logic app it works fine.
However when i turn off public access to the Data Collection endpoint from Azure Monitor it does not work.
Please note that the logic app does have regional vnet integration and can reach the private endpoints.
