Hi All,

We have recently merged with another company.

We have a Site A and our merged company have Site B not to far away.

Eventually, we will have to merge the Domains, but before this can happen we need to ensure we have networking in place. Currently there are no physical network connections into our building from Site B.

I am responsible for the Domain Merger.

Can anyone offer any advice what we need to ensure the correct network is in place so that any Domain Merger can begin. I assume we need some sort of BT connection into our infrastructure and then break out from our firewall?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

    Hi,

For this merger you will need to make sure all the valid AD comms port are opened between the sites and there is no compromise on RPC ports as they are required between the domains and functioning of AD environment - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/identity/config-firewall-for-ad-domains-and-trusts
