Microsoft Teams Not Working on Personal Device

When I log onto Teams from my personal devices, sometimes it allows access but most of the time it does not. I will log in with my correct credentials and I get an error message saying "Your sign-in was successful but does not meet the criteria to access this resource. For example, you might be signing in from a browser, app, or location that is restricted by your admin."
This is confusing to me because it only sends this message on occasion. Teams always works when I am onsite and using my job's wifi, but I need to be able to access my messages and meetings when working from home. I have the Teams app downloaded to my Mac and I do not access it from a web browser.

    @Briggs, April ,

    It seems that your tenant has a Conditional Access Policy that applied to different locations. Please confirm with your tenant admin about this.

    For reference, you can learn more about conditional access by this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/conditional-access/overview.
