PerformancePoint with SharePoint 2016 step by step?

I've been tasked with creating a PerformancePoint service and configuring it for use on my existing Dev environment, which hosts Dev versions of prod data. I followed https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/administration/configure-performancepoint-services, but... not sure I understand what it's supposed to provide. Recommendations for good start-to-finish guides for configuration and confirmation? Video preferred but I can also read if absolutely necessary ;) Thanks!

    There isn't any difference from SharePoint 2013 & SharePoint 2016 regarding on PerformancePoint Service, Below article and video will help you to configure Performance Point Service.
