Windows Server 2016 binds to ipv4, but not to ipv6

Hello!

My Windows Server 2016 is set to use ipv6 and ipv4. Tunnel protocols are disabled. Still, the server does not bind to ipv6 adapters, whatever existing ipv6 address I use. There is no problem with ipv4. I'm using a virtual DC with a virtual adapter set to an ipv6 DNS server - the only way I got the server to use a fixed ipv6 address.

Could anyone please explain me this strange feature?

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

You may have configured your DNS service to listen to the IPv6 address as well. If you added IPv6 support later, it might not be enabled by default because it only listens to the IPv4 and IPv6 you had when you installed the services.
